Content note:
These papers include reports, publications and papers concerning Don Pray and
the Mid-Arkansas Valley Development Association, Inc., a non-profit corporation
formed to secure water development of the Arkansas River to north central Oklahoma
and south-central Kansas. A mechanical contractor by profession, Pray served
as president of the Mid-Arkansas Valley Development Association and as chairman
of the Wichita Chamber of Commerce Flood Control and Water Resource Development
Committee. Pray graduated from the University of Wichita in 1935. The papers
date from 1966 to 1973. The arrangement of the collection is as received from
Don Pray.
