Biography

Charles "Steve" Willam Merton Hart (1905-1976) was a visiting professor of anthropology at Wichita State University from 1971 through 1975 after a distinguished career teaching at the university level in Toronto and Istanbul. In Toronto; he helped develop the first standardized anthropology curriculum in Canada. He also taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He conducted field research in North Australia and New Guinea, Ontario, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Istanbul.
