The Cornelius Greenway Collection of Edwin Markham Papers is composed primarily of correspondence of the Markham Family -- Edwin, his son Virgil, his wife Anna, and his secretary Florence -- to Cornelius Greenway, minister of All Souls Universalist Church, Brooklyn, New York, during the years of 1890 to 1950. The file also contains poetry, lecture notes, autographs, clippings, and other documents relating to Markham. Edwin Markham (1847-1940) was an American poet known for his poem, "The Man With the Hoe."
