This collection deals with documents that relate to the founding of Arkansas City, Kansas, in September, 1870, the formation of the organization of the Arkansas City Town Company, and a Quit Claim Deed for the township land. The collection also contains a story dealing with the events leading up to the founding by one of the settlers as told to his granddaughter.
