Content Note
The Molly Warren Wilcox collection of papers give an excellent recounting of the period of the 1890s and the early 1900s. Her concise and well-written stories portray life in this period, as well as the problems faced by women in their efforts to carve out a career in what was then totally a man's world. Mrs. Wilcox was one of the first women's editors in Kansas who was a woman. In addition to this, she was a member of the third graduating class from Fairmount College. The collection also contains miscellaneous short stories and news clippings.
