Literary rights were granted to the Wichita State University. When permission is granted to examine the manuscripts, it is not an authorization to publish them. Manuscripts cannot be used for publication without regard for common law literary rights, copyright laws and the laws of libel. It is the responsibility of the researcher and his/her publisher to obtain permission to publish. Scholars and students who eventually plan to have their work published are urged to make inquiry regarding overall restrictions on publication before initial research.
These papers include reports, publications and papers concerning Don Pray and the Mid-Arkansas Valley Development Association, Inc., a non-profit corporation formed to secure water development of the Arkansas River to north central Oklahoma and south-central Kansas. A mechanical contractor by profession, Pray served as president of the Mid-Arkansas Valley Development Association and as chairman of the Wichita Chamber of Commerce Flood Control and Water Resource Development Committee. Pray graduated from the University of Wichita in 1935. The papers date from 1966 to 1973. The arrangement of the collection is as received from Don Pray.
