The Semi-Annual Muster Roll of Co. K, 1st Dragoons is a muster roll of Captain Philip St. George Cooke, company commander, who played a leading roll in westward expansion of the U. S. from 1827-1866. The muster roll dates from December 31, 1839 to June 30, 1840 while the company was stationed at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas.

Contains a letter from Major Oscar N. Hoop from Vancouver Barracks, Washington to Major Chapman Grant, commander of the ROTC at the University of Wichita, dated September 1, 1927, informing him that he has found the muster roll and is giving it to him to place in a Kansas museum.

Contains the muster roll of Co. K., 1st Dragoons, Captain St. George Cooke, Commanding Officer. The muster roll dates from December 31, 1839 to June 30, 1840. Colonel Stephen Watts Kearney was the commander of Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. The roll shows 34 men in the company on active duty, and the company had just marched from Ft. Wayne, Oklahoma to Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas.
