The J. R. Mitchell Papers contain the original typescript, 86 folio pages, unpublished,
accompanied by 81 original photographs (3x5 inch), in original heavy black textured
cloth boards, gilt lettered on front cover. Mitchell aboard a 500 passenger
cruise ship gives an intelligent, witty account of his voyage from New York
to Chile via Cuba, Panama through the canal, and Peru.
