Content Note

J. R. Mitchell’s scrapbook contains his original typescript narrative of 86 folio pages accompanied by 82 original photographs. Mitchell, aboard a 500-passenger cruise ship, gives an intelligent, witty account of his 1921 voyage from New York to Chile via Cuba, the Panama Canal and Peru.
