Content note:
The Royal Flying Corps Observation Notebook contains copies of observers' reports of France from August to September, 1914, including details of troop movements, bombings and fires. One report with carbon copy is still present. There are also carbon copies of seven letters concerning official business. This notebook offers an excellent description of the primary uses for aircraft during the opening months of World War I.
