Historical note:
The Kansas Art Education Association began in 1938 as the Kansas Art Teachers
Association which was part of the Western Arts Association. The purpose of KAEA
is to represent Kansas art teachers, sponsor institutes and conferences, to
publish articles and to emphasis substantive art instruction. The KAEA publishes
quarterly newsletters which contain useful suggestions, inspirations and information
for and from art teachers. This has not changed since the 1938 premier publication
of The Art Scoop, edited by Miss Maude Ellsworth.
