| Box 1 | FF 2 | Small notebook diary of Charles Daley, an American artilleryman from Naugatuck, Connecticut. In the diary, Charles describes daily events and activities. He does mention arriving at Nova Scotia on October 11, arriving at a French town on October 31, fighting between November 1 and March 20, and bombarding Germany on April 6. He goes into detail of distances to camp, when the camp sleeps, eats, and other miscellaneous activities. Dating probably from 1917 to 1919, the entries are from October 1 through September 12. |
