Content note:
The Justus H. Fugate Collection contains correspondence, letters, speeches,
notes, published manuscripts, and other materials. These include materials concerning
the efforts of the Kansas Water Resources Board from 1969 to 1984 Justus H.
Fugate was a member of the board from 1969 and resigned as chairman in June
1978. These papers shed light on the water resources in Kansas and the measures
taken to conserve or use dwindling supplies more wisely in the face of increasing
demand.
