CONGRESSIONAL PAPERS OF DAN GLICKMAN

Series 1	Box 1-16	Congressional Correspondence. This series contains congressional correspondence between Dan Glickman and other members of congress, federal policy letters, and related reports and publications. All correspondence is arranged in chronological order by congressional year and alphabetically by subject.
Series 2	Box 17-82	Committee Reference Material. This series contains reference materials relating to the following committees: Agriculture, Judiciary, and Science and Technology. The materials include governmental publications and independent reports concerning various issues relating to the committees. Some of the materials in this series are arranged in alphabetical order by author. Materials produced or specifically gathered by Dan Glickman's office concerning agriculture are located at the beginning of this series.
Series 3	Box 83-112 Box 83-90 Box 91-99 Box 100-112	Legislation. This series contains congressional correspondence, whip advisories, and reference materials concerning various legislation of the 95th-103rd congresses. The materials are organized by congressional year and arranged numerically according to the legislative number assigned to each bill. Materials found in the series are published bills and resolutions, legislative cards, recap legislation and notebooks containing reference on various legislative matters. (Note: Due to the size of this series, the online container list was divided into three parts: Boxes 83-90, boxes 91-99 and boxes 100-112.)
Series 4	Box 113-166	Issue and Subject. This series contains correspondence, reports, and other reference materials generated by interest groups and lobbying organizations. The materials in this series are arranged in alphabetical order by subject.
Series 5	Box 167-221	Today in House. This series contains the daily legislative packet, consisting of a tentative list of the day's votes, staff input on that day's votes, whip advisories, and the Democratic Study Group's Daily Report, providing general background information about the amendment and/or bill before the vote. Materials in this series are arranged in chronological order.
Series 6	Box 222-234	Speeches and Trips. This series contains copies of speeches, information on speaking engagements, international conferences, and Dan Glickman's daily schedule for trips to the district. This series is arranged chronologically.
Series 7	Box 235-236	News Releases, Weekly Columns and Publications. This series contains newsletters, news releases, and weekly columns produced by Dan Glickman's office and distributed to constituents, television stations and newspapers. This series is arranged in chronological order.
Series 8	Box 237-246	News clippings. This series contains news clippings from various state and local newspapers concerning Dan Glickman's activities. The clippings are ordered by subject and date.
Series 9	Box 247	Photographs. This series contains photographs of Dan Glickman with political leaders, corporate leaders and entertainers. Oversized photographs are part of Series 10, Memorabilia and Oversized Items.
Series 10	Box 248-252	Memorabilia and oversized. This series contains certificates of appreciation from groups, birthday wishes from Presidents Carter and Reagan, and plaques given to Dan Glickman from various organizations. This series is arranged alphabetically by contributor. Oversized documents and photographs make up a small portion of this series.
Series 11	Box 253-256	Audio-visual. This series contains both audio and video tapes featuring interviews with Dan Glickman as a guest on television and radio shows. Also included are campaign commercials and Window on Washington television series, a video series Dan Glickman produced.
Series 12	Box 257-258	Computer. This series contains printed lists of computer files with the original eight inch floppy disks. Also included in this series are eight inch floppy disks of computer programs and a record of Dan Glickman's floor votes. This series is arranged in the original order received. (Note: Computer access to floppy disks is problematic).
Series 13	Box 259-264	Campaign. This series contains various letters, reports and news clippings concerning Dan Glickman's congressional campaigns. Polling information and notebooks on other Kansas candidates are also included in this series. This series is arranged in alphabetical order.
Series 14	Box 265-331	Constituent Correspondence. This series is restricted. Constituent correspondence on various issues is contained in this series. The correspondence represented in the series are constituent inquiries and Dan Glickman's responses, issue mail by subject and number, and constituent response form letters. Some of the correspondence retained in the series is from a random sampling of issue mail and response form letters.
Series 15	Box 332	Case Files. This series is restricted. Various cases handled by Dan Glickman's office is typified by the series' contents. Randomly sampled, the subject matter in this sub-series ranges from Academy appointments to the Veterans Administration.
