Content Note

Audiotaped interviews conducted for Jim Sherow's master's thesis in history from Wichita State University comprise this collection. The interviews relate the history of Langdon, a small Kansas town that peaked in 1912 and declined between 1920 and 1950. Representing only a fraction of those conducted for the 1978 thesis, Langdon, Kansas: The Aging of a Rural Town, the three interviews in this collection provide a feeling for the life and times in Langdon from the late 1800s to the 1970s.
