Content Note

This collection contains newsletters, articles, pamphlets and other published material relating to protests by Iranian students in the United States concerning the Shah of Iran. The articles in this collection are taken from college newspapers in Iowa and Kansas. The fliers and protest schedules are for the campuses of Kansas State University, University of Kansas and Wichita State University.

Historical Note

During the last half of the 1970s, the Iranian student organizations in the United States echoed the unrest in Iran and was in protest to the policies of the Shah and his secret police force, the SAVAK. The student movement also protested the support for the Shah given by the United States government.
