“….The School Board on Monday evening asked the mayor to call an election to vote $15,000 for moving old school buildings and building new ones: $6000 each for erection of brick buildings in 1st and 4th wards, and the balance to be spent on lots and moving of old buildings. First ward building is to be moved to the 2nd ward, and 4th ward building to be moved further up in the ward and set apart for the colored children in the city.”
