Description: Birdseye view of the Allis Hotel, 204 South Broadway. The seventeen-story building was designed by the architectural firm of Schmidt, Boucher, and Overend. It opened for business on December 4, 1930. The rooftop sign was constructed by Claude Neon Federal Company. Other businesses partially in view include, Rock Island Lumber & Coal Company, Iten Biscuit Company, Grit Printery Building. The hotel-owned Kit Kat Coffee Shop is seen at 212 South Broadway.
