Geography    
Research: Program Standard III
  All students will demonstrate the ability to locate retrieve, interpret, and present information using a variety of sources, media and technology.
Indicator 2
  All students will access information from a variety of sources and then analyze, organize, synthesize, evaluate and apply that information to a focused social studies topic.
Indicator 3
  All students will apply prewriting, drafting, revising and editing strategies.
Indicator 4
  All students will make an oral presentation of their research project to their class.
     
History: Program Standard VI
  All students will demonstrate an ability to analyze historical events to understand the present and to make decisions for the future.
Indicator 2
  All students will analyze group and institutional influences on people, events and elements of culture in historical settings.
     
U.S. History    
History: Program Standard IV
  The student will demonstrate an ability to analyze history and culture to understand the present and make decisions for the future, and will produce a Social Studies Performance demonstration aligned with course standards.
Indicator 14
  (Power Standard) All students will practice formulating and arguing a valid theses, supported with accurate relevant examples from guided and independent research.
